Crews Handle Several Weather Related Calls

Starting around 2200, calls started coming in during a severe storm. First call was for a roof off a house on Cedar Springs Rd, no injuries. Just down the road, we encountered a partial roof on the road. Further investigation, found 3 barns collapsed with hundreds of livestock trapped. Crews, along with the owners and neighbors, began animal rescue efforts. Approx 180 cows were freed successfully. No serious animal injuries. In a 4 hour span, crews answered calls for flooded houses, structure collapses, flooded roadways, stranded motorists, and trees/wires down.
